Samantha Alvarez - Hospital Manager

Practice Manager Samantha Alvarez has been in the veterinary field since 2003 and joined the Herbst Veterinary Team in May of 2015.

Samantha began as a receptionist in a small practice in San Antonio and then started working as a courier for a lab company strictly for animals. That time away confirmed her passion for the veterinary world and brought her back to a new hospital as a receptionist where she worked her way up to their hospital manager. During this time she received her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Throughout the years she has learned invaluable information about the love and care animals need to live a happy & healthy life. Aside from spending most of her time at the clinic with her team, she enjoys being outdoors camping, and hiking.
